Follow up.
It's 1:44 a.m. in Istanbul; I arrived at my (beautiful) hotel about an hour ago. Just in case anyone is reading this (unlikely), I thought I'd just note that I am feeling much better about this trip, and I'm genuinely excited about seeing this city!

I hope you got my last email. If not, have a wonderful time discovering the city. Glad you are not afraid to get out and see the sights. We should be envious of their centuries of history, culture and beauty. Take it all in and share your experiences with us who wished we could be there!! Love you. Dad
